Campground Desciption and details: Surf, sand, and a whole lot more. Seagulls and seashells, the surging surf and the sun-kissed sand welcome you to Gulf State Park. Bask all morning in the sun beside the Gulf of Mexico or knock a ball around an 18 hole championship golf course. Spend a lazy afternoon drifting in a canoe (the Park does not offer canoe rentals), by the shores of Lake Shelby, or a dip in the Hotel swimming pool. Fish off an 825 foot pier, the longest on the Gulf, or in a 500 acre freshwater lake a stone's throw away. Meander along nature trails. View exciting live exhibits. Spend your nights in a camper, a family size lakefront cabin. Gulf State Park offers choices: for couple or family reunions, for vacationers or conventioneers, for getting away from it all or business mixed with pleasure. 468 campsites with water/electricity; 200 sewer; on fresh water lake, 1/2 mile from Gulf.
