Campground Desciption and details: Fishing: A haven for skiff-fishing Many of our prime fishing waters are in close proximity to the islands and coves right in front of the resort creating an ideal setting for a "skiff-fishery". To many saltwater anglers, this opportunity of fishing Alaskan waters from small boats or skiffs is most appealing-you're on your own to fish, cruise, and enjoy the scenic surroundings from your own boat for as long as you like each day. To meet all of your fishing needs, guests may rent a trolling boat equipped with an outboard motor, fuel, net, gaff-hook and fish box. The tackle shop also rents rods, reels &line. Fishing licenses are available and additional tackle such as hooks, leaders, weights and herring can be brought with you or purchased as needed at our tackle shop. Most people prefer trolling or mooching for salmon, while others seek the faster action offered by drift-fishing the bottom for Snapper, Seabass, Halibut and Cod. Irregardless of your fishing style, our staff members are friendly and knowledgeable and will be happy to show you some of the local hotspots within easy access of the lodge. Many salmon are caught spin casting right off the dock while others fish the bottom for Halibut, which sometimes top the 100-pound mark!
