Campground Desciption and details: Located at the southern tip of Alaska's Kenai Peninsula, 35 miles south of Homer, Dog Fish Bay is readily accessible by Homer Air and by charter boat. Our year-round lodge features 37 clean and comfortable double rooms with private baths. The Sportsmans Lodge staff is friendly, professional, and service-oriented. Our dining room prepares three, all-you-can-eat, buffet style meals daily. Enjoy a wide variety of outdoor activities including kayaking, hiking, mountain biking, wildlife and bird watching, sightseeing, and more. Families are welcome. Experience fabulous Alaskan fresh and saltwater fishing for halibut, five species of Pacific salmon, dollie varden, rainbow trout, lake trout, and arctic char. Winter months afford cross-country skiing, snow shoeing, winter camping, ice fishing, and the perpetual warmth of the lodge's crackling fireplace.
