Directions to the campground: Halfway between Calgary & Edmonton coming on #2 Hwy.
Campground Desciption and details: We are happy to share our place by the lake with you. Located away from busy highways yet close enough to Hwy. 2 linking Calgary and Edmonton, we are easy to find. Nestled among farms, hills, and forests, we are right on the east shore of Gull Lake, Central Alberta's largest lake. There is plenty of room to Sail, Waterski, Fish, Canoe, Windsurf, Swim, or just float around. We have wading pools, too. The shores are lined with fields and meadows, wildlife, waterfowl and other feathered friends abound. Our 1 mile of lakeshore is rocky, but the water is clear, except for after storms, or when waterplants spread their pollen in a prolonged hotspell. We work on the beach constantly, hauling in sand, repairing the boatlaunch after powerful spring break-ups. We have piers to tie your boats to and fish from, rafts to swim to, a kid's corner with a slide into the water. At our place you can drive a ball on our driving range, practice on our 36 hole putting course, jump on trampolines, play pool, ping pong, badminton, volleyball, tetherball, softball, horseshoes, build sandcastles or just relax. Shopping, Museums, Farmers Markets, Rodeos are offered in nearby villages and towns. Golf Courses are close, so is the "World's Wildest" Waterslide. Only two hous to the Rocky Mountains and only a little more than an hour to the shopping/entertainment dream of North America; The West Edmonton Mall! A good place to take the children to on a rainy day. We are pleased to have many "Permanent" campers who occupy their site for the season, often even for years. Their home away from home. Our sites are treed, grassed, spacious, fully serviced. We also have a wide variety of "natural" sites available for seasonal campers, with fine lawns and mature shade trees. We are now pleased to offer trailriding on very well trained horses. We also have competent guides to make the experience enjoyable. Our Camp Resort is owned and operated by the same family since 1971 and we pride ourselves in running a quiet and clean establishment - this is how our campers like it, too. We do not approve of heavy drinking, nor loud music of any kind.
