Directions to the campground: Located 14.6 miles/23.5km West and North of Whitecourt on Hwy. 32 to Swan Hills (on paved access) 2-1/2 hour drive from Edmonton.
Campground Desciption and details: Carson Pegasus Provincial Campground is found on McLeod (Carson) Lake which is stocked with Rainbow Trout. Beautiful shorefishing area in addition to boat launches if you have your own boat, and boat rentals if you don't. Great facilities and a clean, quiet campground provide a very peaceful stopover or fishing trip. Speed limit of 12km on entire lake keeps things nice and quiet. Golf, horseback riding, shopping and educational tours all available witin a 20 minute drive. Swimming, biking, hiking, playgrounds, horseshoes, birdwatching & canoeing are a few of the popular activities at Carson Pegasus in addition to the most popular -- Fishing!
