Campground Desciption and details: For the Adventurous Hiker. You will see some of the best views when you hike the 120 mile Apache Trail. The trail begins in the Apache Junction, loops around in a circle and ends back at the starting point. You can see it all from this trail, lakes, mountains, desert and forest! It's simply breathtaking. On your hike you will want to visit The Lost Dutchman State Park, which is located at the bottom of the Superstition Mountains. Another fun stop is the Goldfield Mining town which is a re-created ghost town! Tours, shopping and restaurants are located in the ghost town! Caynon Lake is another great place. They offer boat rides, swimming and dining! Many of our visitors enjoy a lunch break at the Tortilla Flat which is an old settlement. There's also the Apache Lake, Roosevelt Dam and Tonto National Monument! As you can see, the places along Apache Trail will keep you busy from dawn til dusk!
