Campground Desciption and details: Campgrounds, Camping, RV Trailer Park Island 22 Campground and Equestrian Centre is a semi-serviced park, owned by the City of Chilliwack and operated under a management agreement with the Fraser Valley Regional District. The intended purpose of the park is to provide outdoor recreational opportunities for the residents of Chilliwack and area as well as tourists travelling through the Fraser Valley. Eighty-one overnight campsites are available, twelve of which have recently been developed to provide 15 or 30 amp service. Each campsite has a parking area, activity pad, picnic table and firepit. A water pump and pit toilets are also available for campers. A day-use area, that includes a boat launch, is located adjacent to the Fraser River and may be used by the general public. The Fraser River is famous for its variety of fish which includes Trout, Salmon, Steelhead and Sturgeon. For booking information call 792-5567. An equestrian area was originally constructed by the Chilliwack and District Horse Council. This area includes paddocks, trails, jumps and a show ring. Riders are allowed to use this area for a daily fee, payable at the Campground office. Season and family passes are also available. Groups wishing to hold meets or clinics must reserve the use of the facility through the Park Manager. All riders must sign a waiver form at the Campground office before using the facilities.
