Directions to the campground: From Vancouver: Take the B.C. ferry to Nanaimo on Vancouver Island. Follow Hwy. #19 North to Parksville. Take the Coombs exit onto highway 4A following signs to Port Alberni & Coombs. (6km) Turn left onto Errington Road 3 miles before Coombs, following signs to Englishman River Falls Park and Tranquility Woods. We are 1/2km before the gates to Englishman River Falls Provincial Park.

Campground Desciption and details: Tranquility Woods Cabins As you drive through the huge log entranceway into Tranquility Woods, the pressure of everyday life begins to fade away. Tranquility Woods is a secluded "get--away" haven nestled into the backwoods of Errington, B.C. on Vancouver Island, just minutes away from beautiful Englishman River Falls Provincial Park. As you leave Parksville headed for Port Alberni, just follow the signs to the Park and you can't miss us! Situated on 13.3 acres, in a beautiful, forested setting, Tranquility Woods is a unique combination of brand new theme cottages, choice camping sites and a unique office/snack shop called "Amigos". Done up in an old Mexican theme, Amigos is stocked full with ice, pop, juice, chips, bars, frozen foods, ice cream, groceries, toiletries, phone cards, post cards, camp supplies and firewood. Pick up a map of Tranquility Woods at Amigos and then head out to follow one of the narrow, winding roadways to that special camp site or unique cabin in the woods. We have 11 cozy, choice campsites up front in the evergreens, close to the washroom, snack shop, volleyball court and horse shoe pits. Out back in the more mature forest are 21 more large "exclusive sites", each located on a 1/4 acre of land for privacy, peace and tranquility. Our washrooms sport flush toilets, hot water and a coin operated shower. Fresh tap water can be found on the side of the washroom building right next to the pay telephone. We also have 4 new privies the tranquility Woods Hiking Trail! Englishman River Falls The gate to Englishman River Falls Provincial Park is only 1/2 kilometer from Tranquility Woods. The stunning upper and lower waterfalls and surrounding hiking trails are all absolutely captivating. And there is a great swimming hole at the Lower Falls to cool you down on those hot summer days! Our cabins are fully insulated and our campground is open for year-round use to enjoy the falls at their best - tumultuous in the winter time! You don't want to miss it! Lots Of Things To See And Do! Although Tranquility Woods may be off the beaten trail, we are incredibly close to the real action! The quaint little towns of Parksville, Qualicum Beach and French Creek are all within a 15 minute drive of Tranquility Woods. Try clamming on the beach. Visit the funky little country town of Coombs, famous for its marketplace with live goats on the roof. On a rainy day, you can visit Butterfly World. On sunny days it's horseback riding, the Errington Farmers Market, Little Mountain Lookout, Cameron Lake or a visit to the mammoth trees of world famous Cathedral Grove. Steelhead and Salmon fishing, mountain bike trails, five excellent golf courses and two downhill ski areas are all within easy reach of Tranquility Woods! Too good to be true?
