Campground Desciption and details: Maranatha Resort is one of the largest campgrounds in the beautiful Kootenays. Situated just 12 miles east of Creston on Hwy #3, its 28 natural forest / meadowland acres are nestled between mountains and bordered by cool, sparkling Meadow Creek. Maranatha has been called "peaceful", "a blessing" and a "sheer delight" by our guests. We offer 85 spacious, treed sites, each with a picnic table and firepit or barbeque stand. Many have power and water hookups, and, for your convenience we provide sani station and laundry facilities. Of course, there are also clean washroom facilities, with free hot showers. For the enjoyment of our guests, we offer, without extra cost, the following amenities, evening family movies and satellite TV at our outdoor theatre. Sunday worship services and family "potluck" fellowship, midweek campfire bible studies, horsehoes, volleyball and other games. We also have a small Christian gift shop, where the coffee pot is always on with complimentary coffee! In the ranch area, the whole family enjoys our petting farm, with emus, goats, exotic birds, peacocks, rabbits and miniature horses and this year we'll be adding doves and a miniature church. Maranatha also offers miniature golf at a nominal fee. Whether you swim, wade or fish for trout in the creek, bike hike or jog around the campground, participate in other activities or just relax by the campfire, you will be blessed by your stay at Maranatha.
