Campground Desciption and details: Chute Lake Resort, at an altitude of near 4,000 feet, is located in a very scenic and historic location approximately 20 miles north of Penticton via Naramata Road. From Kelowna, it's a 1/2 hour drive from Okanagan Mission. The Lodge rests on spacious landscaped grounds in pleasing contrast with the natural beauty of its surroundings. Picnic tables and cabanas dot the groomed lawns and waterfront areas. A licenced dining room with a 60 person capacity is located on the main floor of the Lodge. Meals may be ordered from the regular menu for individuals and small groups. Dinner is by reservation. Smorgasbords or barbecues may be arranged for larger groups. The lake is naturally over-stocked with rainbow trout and has a catch limit of 6 fish per day. Gas and electric motor boats, canoes and rowboats are available for rental. There is a boat launch and up to 10 HP motors are permitted. The Resort, with antique decor, and an antique store is open year-round. In the winter a well maintained road from Penticton and a 4-wheel drive road from Kelowna make the Lodge accessible for winter recreation at its best. Snowmobiling, cross-country skiing and ice fishing are featured. Be it winter or summer, the rugged beauty of Chute Lake Resort makes it ideal for quiet leisurely nature walks for those who wish to take advantage of the birds and wildlife often seen. The historic Kettle Valley Railway, which has become a very popular cycling path, goes right through Resort property. For the more adventurous there are other lakes to explore which are within walking distance.
