Campground Desciption and details: Rancho Los Coches has a rich history going back to 1843 when the San Diego Mission granted the land to preserve the ranch for the padres. The site has survived for over 150 years as a ranch, a station for the Jackass Mail and Butterfield Stage routes, and much more. In 1925 the Windmill House was built to generate electricity and pump water. Today it is a local historical landmark. Unwind in our heated pool and relaxing spa. Enjoy private, sparkling showers and restrooms. Feel free to take a quiet moment for meditation in the Svenska Flicka Chapel. The Recreation Hall provides a wide variety of activities and events.
