Campground Desciption and details: Eagle’s Nest Fellowship Church grew from a home bible study at Bill & Mary Jane Sammons’ in the 1980’s. Bill, a hog farmer, left the farm to attend Rhema Bible Training Center in Tulsa, OK in 1980. Upon graduation, he began traveling with United Methodist Church Evangelist Earl Tyson, and began building Eagle’s Nest Family Campground near their home in Milton. The campground was operated by the non-profit Eagle’s Nest Ministries, and soon began offering Sunday morning services to the campers. Local people started attending too, and at the end of the summer in 1991 it was decided that instead of stopping the services for the winter - they would be moved inside and continued. Eagle’s Nest Fellowship Church was born. The crowd outgrew the Sammons’ basement within a few weeks, and the group purchased the former Clyde
