Campground Desciption and details: 4 campsites on the ocean side of the beautiful and historical Waipio Valley (Hamakua coastline). Tent camping only on the beach (no cabins). 4-wheel drive vehicles are required in Waipio Valley. No drinking water or other facilities (you must bring your own chem-toilet to the campsite and take it with you when you leave). Permits are required - applicants must be age 18 or over. Maximum length of stay per permit is 4 days (3 nights). Campsites are allocated on a first come/first served space available basis. Rates: permit and tent camping are free.
