Campground Desciption and details: Stan and Norma Moore invite you to come and relax in the most beautiful RV Park on the wild and scenic Salmon River of Idaho. About the park. Our great climate and scenic beauty, along with our centralized location, make us an excellent choice for a one night stopover or a week (or longer) vacation destination. Riverfront Gardens is an ideal location for group get-togethers: family reunions, weddings, business picnics, RV rallies, or just friends getting out of town for a day or two. Large lawns are great for group games, activities, and tenting. Riverfront Gardens is open all year long and has club, daily, weekly, and monthly rates. Winter RV storage is a plus with our great winter weather. Get out of the snow and come to the banana belt! Things to do! The Salmon River is one of Idaho's most popular rafting waters with over a dozen companies offering whitewater raft trips daily thru-out the summer months. Transportation and catering can be acquired for groups. We will be glad to help make arrangements! The Salmon is one of the premier steelhead rivers in the Northwest with a season running from September 1 to March 31. Several guide services are available. These ocean going rainbow trout can easily reach 40" length and are a thrill for any angler to catch. Trout and small mouth bass fishing is excellent in the river and area streams during the summer and fall. Big game and upland game bird hunting are all very popular pastimes in season. Numerous day trip destinations are available in any direction. A short drive can take you to Heavens Gate Lookout- look from this viewpoint into both the Salmon River Canyon and Hell's Canyon, the two deepest canyons in North America, and look out over four states. Another direction will take you to the old town site of Florence, and early mining town. Several other old mining communities are within driving distance. Museums are available at Grangeville and at St. Gertrude's Monastery in Cottonwood where more than 12,000 artifacts will document the area's past mining, logging, and pioneer history. Rapid River Salmon Hatchery south of Riggins is a big step in maintaining and restoring salmon runs to the state. Open every day of the year and always something to see. Golf courses at New Meadows, McCall and Grangeville are all within an hours drive. The area is rich in scenic beauty with dozens of mountain lakes and streams reached only by hiking and backpacking. Use us as your base of operations and enjoy a good hot shower at night. Swimming beaches and boat ramps are plentiful the length of the canyon.
