Directions to the campground: Coming on I-64 from Lexington, KY, take Exit 123, US-60 east of Salt Lick, KY. Turn right on Road 211 and follow signs to campground. Coming on I-64 from Ashland, take Exit 133 to Farmers, on Road 801. Turn right on US-60 to Salt Lick and left on Road 211 and follow signs.

Campground Desciption and details: Large, mostly shaded campground on 8,300 acre mountain lake. Flush toilets, city water, hot showers, telephone service and some Electric hook-ups. Campground store with ice, firewood, camp gear and food in facility. Paved roads and level graveled site pads for RV's or tents. Paved boat ramp. Beach area. Lakeside sites available. Popular activities include fishing, nature programs and abundant wildlife viewing. Electric hook-up sites available for an extra fee, collected at the site. The nearest community is 12 miles away. Zilpo is open for reservations 5/26 - 9/4/2000. The campground is open for walk-ins 9/5 - 10/29/2000. Important Information Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance. 2 night minimum on weekends. 3 night minimum on holidays. Single sites limited to 6 persons and 2 vehicles. Double sites limited to 12 persons and 4 vehicles. No refunds due to inclement weather. A fee of $5 for extra vehicles will be collected at the campground.
