Campground Desciption and details: Whispering Oaks Campground is a family friendly campground located only 1/4 of a mile North of The Pere Marquette River in the Manistee National Forest. Newly renovated facilities and wooded grounds accommodate campers ranging from tents to motor homes. We currently have 10 cabins and 30 camping sites available. The campground is within minutes of many area attractions for the entire family to enjoy; swimming, fishing, canoeing, golf, state land trails available to hikers, ATV, ORV and horses. And not too far from other well know state attractions such as lighthouses in Ludington and mushroom captial of the world Mesick, Mi. Wooded, Clean & Quiet. Friendly staff with gift shop onsite. Modern facilities, water & electric. Firewood, family friendly and log furniture. Open during Salmon & Steelhead season. All Sites Feature At No Extra Charge: 30 or 50 Amp Electric Service, Water Hook-up, Picnic Table, Fire pit, Modern Bathrooms, Playground, Horseshoe Pits, Volleyball & Badminton Area and Paved Basketball Court.
