Campground Desciption and details: The park was established by Minnesota State Legislature in 1937. The granite stone buildings at Buffalo River State Park were built by the Works Progress Administration in the late 1930s. There are 12 miles of hiking trail. Of particular interest are the Bluestem Prairie and the native river-bottom forest. 35 electric and 9 non-electric sites are available at the campground.
