Campground Desciption and details: Frontenac State Park features a 58 site semi-modern campground with electricity in 19 and 6 rustic, all season walk-in campsites. Primitive group camp with running water for 35 is also available. A 40-site picnic ground with an enclosed shelter with electric service is available. This spectacular state park offers excellent hiking, picnicking, camping, and cross-country skiing. Migratory birds, beautiful wildflowers, natural prairie, and unsurpassed views make Frontenac, ten miles south of Red Wing near U.S. Hwy. 61, a wonderful interlude.
