Campground Desciption and details: 50 sites & 72-slip marina on the peninsula bounded by the main channel of the Mississippi & Mud Lake. Directly across from downtown Red Wing. Beautiful waterfront sites with boat launch, flush toilets, showers, sanitation station & portable unit, picnic tables, water/electric at all sites, firewood. Enclosed meeting area, horseshoe, playground, laundry, walking trails. Bars & lunches within walking distance. Leashed pets allowed. Seasonal sites available. Located opposite downtown Red Wing on the Mississippi under the Eisenhower Bridge (Route 63). Island Campground & Marina is a privately owned campground with 120 sites with power and water and 72 marina slips. Other campground facilities include electricity, boat ramp, courtesy boat dock, groceries, firewood, children's play area, and a fish cleaning house. The area is wooded with many maples making fall spectacular. Wildlife abounds and fishing is great. Wooded walking trails are provided. All sites are within easy distance of a bar and restaurant.
