Campground Desciption and details: Loblolly pines and stately magnolia trees, rolling hills, spectacular seasonal flowers, and a year-round mild climate await visitors to Percy Quin State Park. One of the original state parks cleared and constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s, Percy Quin is today a delightful blend of the old and new. Located just two and a half hours from New Orleans, 1700 acre Percy Quin State Park provides a colorful natural backdrop for a variety of outdoor activities. Lake Tangipahoa is a 700 acre fresh water lake ideal for fishing and water sports. The Lake is stocked with bass, bream, catfish and crappie. A Mississippi fishing license is required for all persons between the ages of 16 and 65 and may be purchased at the park office for a nominal fee. A fish cleaning station, with stainless steel sinks and fillet boards, is available for use at no charge. A marina on the lake offers year round boat storage. No storage of jet boats are allowed. There is a rental fee for the marina. Contact Park Office for more information (601) 684-3938. Percy Quin features 25 cabins furnished with bed and bath linens and basic kitchen equipment. All cabins provide a panoramic view of Lake Tangipahoa, and are air-conditioned and heated, have private porches, and many have fireplaces. Two new executive golf villas furnished with bed and bath linens and basic kitchen equipment are also available. Reservations are strongly recommended. The Park office is open from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm daily except Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day. The Ranger Station is open 10:00 am - 6:00 pm Monday - Thursday and 8:00 am - 10:00 pm Friday - Sunday. Quail Hollow Club House hours are from 7:30 am until dark.
