Campground Desciption and details: Located just six miles south of Tupelo, Mississippi. Tombigbee State Park offers the finest in outdoor recreation opportunities minutes from one of Mississippi’s premier shopping, dining and entertainment areas. Tupelo is the site of the bi-annual Tupelo Furniture Market, held in February and August; home of the Elvis Presley Birthplace; and the headquarters of the Natchez Trace Parkway. The Park office is open from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm daily except Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day. Cabin #1 is our smallest cabin, but is still a nice cabin. It is only set up for two people and is a non-lakefront cabin. It is equipped with a small kitchenette, hardwood floors, bedroom with a full sized bed, television, couch, table and chairs, central heat and air, fireplace, and a screened-in front porch area with a swing. Tombigbee features seven air-conditioned cabins offering forest and lake views. Cabins are equipped with bed and bath linens, basic kitchen equipment and feature fire places and screened porches or patios. Pets are not allowed in the cabin area. Reservations are strongly recommended. Lake Lee is well stocked with bass, bream, and catfish. A Mississippi fishing license is required for all persons between the ages of 16 and 65. Licenses may be purchased at the park office for a nominal fee. Fishing boats are available for rental year-round. Paddle boats are available for rental during the summer season. Lake Lee offers freshwater for fishing and water sports. Boat launch is open year-round for persons with their own boats.
