Campground Desciption and details: The Koocanusa Resort and Marina (Koo-ca-Nu-sa) is a tranquil, picturesque full service resort in the pristine Rocky mountains of Northwestern Montana. It is nestled on 70 acres on the shores of Lake Koocanusa which is known for its unsurpassing fishing. Lake Koocanusa is 91 miles long, half of which is in Canada. Lincoln County is a recreational paradise. only 30% of the land in this county is private land which leaves millions of acres of natural forests that are easily accessed from Koocanusa Resort. The resort is thirty miles Northeast of Libby Montana, and six miles north of the dam which is the mouth of the Kootenai River where the world record rainbow trout, 33.5 lbs, was caught. The Koocanusa Resort is open year round. In this beautiful setting of mountains and endless water, come and enjoy the real beauty of Montana. We are located 23 miles north of Libby, and 45 miles south of the Canadian Border. Surrounded by Kootenai national Forest, this man-made lake is home to some of the best fishing in the state of Montana. Best known for Loandlocked Salmon, a variety of Trout, Ling Cod, Perch and Sun Fish. At Koocanusa Resort and marina we offer Boat Rentals, Fully Equipped RV Sites (daily or seasonal) and Tent Sites. We offer Boat Rentals, Pontoon and personal watercraft rentals for your enjoyment from fishing or to just spending the day on this beautiful lake. There is an on-site store, showers and restroom and laundry facilities. There is also a bar and restaurant for your dining pleasure or take out for a day on the lake.
