Visit the historic mining towns of Virginia City (1/2 mile) and Nevada City (2 miles). Make us your base camp to fish the Blue Ribbon Madison River just 15 miles away, the Ruby River 15 miles or the Ruby Resevoir 20 miles. Of course, the Madison is over 50 miles long with a multiple fishing accesses and float areas. Or you can West go to the Jefferson about 30 miles for some good fishin' too. If you are the adventureous soul who is willing to backpack in. Virginia City is the starting point for the drive up to the Axotal Lakes. Truly unique spot known to few and rugged access keeps it private. Guides are available locally for the Madison,Jefferson, and Ruby.
