Campground Desciption and details: In 1962 what is now Holland's Shelter Creek opened as a one room Bait and Tackle Shop on Highway 53, overlooking Shelter Creek. Steve Holland opened a Stop-In and Restaurant, in 1981,leasing the land for 30 years. Today Holland's Shelter Creek Restaurant and Campground is thriving with Three Dining Areas that seat over 135 guests. For 20 years Holland's has delighted guest with very generous portions of the Best Seafood to be found from Calabash to the Chesapeake Bay. When asked the secret of his success, owner Steve Holland replies "it's a commitment to providing great seafood with excellent service." More recently the "Creek" experience has gone through noticeable improvement. Holland has expanded the Campground to include 10 new beautiful Cedar Cabin. The Cedar Cabin are complete with private Bathroom and Shower, Heat, A/C, and can sleep from one to four guests. The only thing rustic about them is the absence of a TV or Telephone. Also added on are 40 Canoes, 4 Paddle Boats, 6 Kayak, Shuttle service, and a Playground for smaller children.
