Campground Desciption and details: Beautiful, peaceful campground, 22 acres, centrally located, close to white water rafting. We are glad you are interested in our campground. Cartoogechaye Creek Campground is centrally located on scenic Highway 64. The campground has 78 sites on a 23 acre meadow surrounded by mountains. The scenery is spectacular. There are two creeks on the property and it's a good idea to bring your fishing pole. If you are looking for a place to walk, ride bikes, or relax doing nothing, then this is a great place. We have a one half mile gravel road which many of our campers use as a jogging and walking track. We have horses and cows for those looking for some animals to pet. At the center of our camp is our recreational building where we have activities several times a month, bingo, potlucks, bonfires, and more. We also have a playground to occupy the little ones. In addition to these on-site activities we have an information center at the campground which outlines hundreds of additional opportunities for fun and recreation in the surrounding area. We have clean bath rooms which include private showers and all the hot water you need. We also have a laundry room and camper storage. We have everything you need to fully hook up your camper or a spot on the creek to set up your tent and have a campfire. Tired of the "rat race"? Then come visit us. Our aim is to provide a caring, supportive, and relaxing atmosphere for each of our campers.
