Campground Desciption and details: Rochester Place Resort Inc. is a leisure resort on the north shore of Essex County. The fully serviced campground is complemented by a marina with access to Lake St. Clair for fishing and water sports, by an 18 hole golf course and by a licensed restaurant on site. Hot showers, playground, party room, outdoor pool, air conditioned rec hall, picnic tables and fire rings are available for campers' enjoyment. Rochester Place Resort Inc. is located in the Town of Lakeshore. The town is unique in that it offers 9 marinas to the transient boating market on the south shore of Lake St. Clair. Other amenities in the community include a number of antique shops, golf courses, bed & breakfast facilities, fishing charters and fine dining establishments. A CASCAR racetrack is planned for the area. Lake St. Clair is home to some ot the world's best muskie fishing. A number of tournaments are held each year
