Campground Desciption and details: Lakeside is a quiet park nestled on the banks of Muskrat Lake. Just 4 miles west of the village of Cobden, Ontario in the heart of Renfrew County, Ontario's largest county with two million acres of scenic beauty, half of which is wilderness, protected and valued by anglers, hunters, and naturalists alike. Lakeside is within 1/2 hr. drive to many area attractions such as: White Water Rafting, Bungee Jumping, Bonechere Caves, Storyland, Horseback Riding, Giagantic Waterslides And More. We at Lakeside are proud to be a part of the continuing effort to preserve this natural wonderland while providing the comforts and services enjoyed by the many anglers and naturalists that make Lakeside an annual tradition. Beautiful Muskrat Lake is approximately 10 miles long with recorded depths to 300' and offers a wide variety of fish such as northern pike, walleye, lake trout, small and large mouth bass, muskellunge and numerous pan fish. Northern pike and walleye attract the mid-May to end of June fishermen, whereas July, August & September will see a greater number of bass fishermen. Of course northerns and walleye are always available at any time of the season. Whether you decide to take advantage of our housekeeping cottages or to set up camp on our serviced or non-serviced sites, we welcome the opportunity to extend some good old-fashioned Northern hospitality.
