Campground Desciption and details: Welcome to Indian Creek Recreation Park in beautiful Gold Beach, Or. were the Rogue meets the Sea. Our area and campground both have much to offer. Our campground has 90 complete hookups plus a separate area of 26 sites for tent camping. Indian Creek runs through on the side of our camp and also overlooks the Rogue River. We are 1 mile from downtown Gold Beach and the southern coast beaches. Our hookups are unique. 34 of the hookups are arranged in five carrousels. There are seven hookups in each carrousel. Each carrousel has picnic tables, B.B.Q's, and sinks. All R.V. spaces have cable television hookups. There are 56 other hookups, which include pull thrus and other lovely spaces. 55 of these spaces have phone hookups. All are through G.T.E. Indian Creek Lodge is our FUN building, It includes a large carpeted recreational room complete with pool, ping pong tables, game machines and card tables are also available. For those who just want to visit, the perfect opportunity is around our large fireplace. Upstairs in the Lodge is another recreational room complete with pool tables, antique bar, piano, tables and chairs. This room may be reserved for your get togethers, pot luck dinners etc... at no extra charge. Our lodge also has a country store complete with a laundry room, rest rooms, irons and ironing boards. Inside and outside games area available at the office. In the center of the campground is our Bath House with tiled restrooms, showers and sauna. The tent areas also have showers and restrooms. Our grounds have large areas of lawn which gives the feeling of spaciousness. There are many things to keep you occupied and happy. The Mail and Jet Boat trips make 64 and 80 mile trips and the longer trips are 104 miles through the beautiful scenic and wilderness areas of the Rogue River. For the outdoors person there is tennis and hiking, or a relaxing game of golf at Ceder Bend Golf Course. For the children there is the Kid Castle Play Ground in down town Gold Beach at Buffington Park. The Rogue River in the spring and summer offers the fisherman a chance to catch that salmon they have always wanted. Steelhead fishing in the Rogue River is excellent in late summer and fall. Fishing guides and charter boats are available and supply all the fishing gear needed. The beaches offer driftwood galore to take home and make unique decorations. Also, it is fun to play in the sand and walk barefoot on the beach. On low tides, clam digging offers a new found challenge. Perch, Smelt, and Herring fishing is available on the jetties and sand spit. During the season pick your own blackberries, have a delicious pie, make jam or freeze some and take them home. There are several excellent shops to shop at in Gold Beach including many restaurants for your dinnig pleasure.
