Directions to the campground: Big Island Cove Resort is easily accessible ...our roads are all paved except for the last 8 miles. We are located 8 miles NW of Goodsoil. Well signed and easy to find, take the first right once you enter the Meadow Lake Provincial Park.

Campground Desciption and details: Big Island Cove Resort is family oriented in the summer months, with playgrounds, horseshoe pits, beach volleyball & other activities. We have only 20 campsites and 21 cabins which means No Crowds!! Relax, swim, fish or do just as you wish. Summer months are warm and sunny. Lac des Isles is a very large, clean lake with a hard sand bottom. Explore many of our hidden bays to sunbathe in. Several islands offer a picturesque interruption. Water skiers, boaters, windsurfers and sailors have miles of open water and private, unspoiled natural beaches to enjoy. Excellent fishing with Northern Pike, Walleye, Yellow Perch and Whitefish to be caught. At the resort we rent boats and motors, tubes, canoes and paddle boats. We also have a boat launch and mooring facilities available, screened fish cleaning hut and unleaded gasoline available at the boat house. Our store carries all fishing tackle, licences, groceries, toys, souveneirs & confectionary you'll require to make your vacation complete. Showers are available in the lodge and we also have a games room complete with pool table, TV, video and pinball machines. Spring and fall are quiet times for fishing, hunting and photography. We offer fully guided hunts for spring and fall black bear, white-tail deer and moose. Hunters are invited to bring along their spouses/families to make their hunting trip a family vacation as well.
