Campground Desciption and details: Hardys Jackson Hill Marina and Lodge is located just outside of Broaddus, Texas on Beautiful Lake Sam Rayburn. In the middle of the 154,245-acre Angelina National Forest. Lake Sam Rayburn offers world class fishing with many bass over 10 pounds caught throughout the year. In May 1997 the lake record for largemouth bass was set with a weight of 16 pounds and 12 ounces. Many experts feel the next state record largemouth bass will come from Sam Rayburn. Crappie fishing is fantastic with limits caught before lunch being a regular occurence. The town of Broaddus is home to the friendliest people you will ever meet. You'll like it so much once you visit you may never want to leave. The business community in the surrounding area is completely supportive of all the Marina guest and visitors to the Lake and they continuously strive to serve your every need. We would like to inform you of what we currently have to offer and what some of our plans are for the Marina. We would also like to hear from you as to how we can serve your needs better. Currently we have 22 Cabins and over 40 RV spaces. We have a single wide mobile home " The Dudley" that sleeps around 12. We also have a fishing dock with boat slips and an indoor fishing dock that has been repaired. We have a beach area for swimming, volleyball net on the beach and a four lane boat ramp located next to the Marina store run by the Army Corps of Engineers. We offer many types of bait, live, frozen and artificial. We offer a grill at the store and offer hot, fresh and tasty mesquite smoked Hamburgers & mesquite smoked brisket from the pit for take home or BBQ sliced brisket and BBQ chopped beef sandwiches. Breakfast plates for the early morning fishermen along with free coffee to eat here or take with them. We are going to work hard with all the Fishing Clubs and we hope to host numerous Fishing tournaments throughout the year. We are also going to work with all the churches and offer special rates for youth camping trips so if we can help you in that area please let us know. We have many plans and dreams that we hope to accomplish. Some will be slow and others immediate, but the main thing is we would Love the chance to serve you and provide the best service that will fit your individual needs. Please let us know how we can make your stay more pleasurable. We offer year RV space rentals. We are also going to offer boat rentals. We have a resident fishing guide that will show you the time of your life his name is Gordon McBride and is one of the best guides on the entire lake, not metion he is a good christian man and his theme is "instant fun just add water" haha give him a call and catch your dream fish this next trip.
