Campground Desciption and details: Tropic Winds is the Premiere place to enjoy your vacation. We're only 30 miles to the Mexico border. If you're into horse back riding, this is your state! You can get private lessons or group lessons just about anywhere! Also, you can spend a day floating on one of the 4 rivers, Comal, San Marcos, Frio or Guadalupe. Many of the rivers are crystal clear and there are also several underground springs. You will also want to visit the Rio Grande Valley State Park where there are daily wildlife tours from December thru March! You can also boat, fish and bird watch. There are several hiking trails throughout the park. Falcon State Park and Santa Ana National Wildlife Refuge are also nearby! You won't want to miss all the fun! Tropic Winds Resort is an age qualified resort located right in Harlingen, Texas which is in the heart of the Rio Grande Valley, just north of Mexico and minutes from the Gulf Coast.
