Directions to the campground: We are located on the west edge of Buffalo, Wyoming on U.S. Highway 16, just minutes away from the magnificent Bighorn Mountains. Interstate 25 and Interstate 90 intersect at Buffalo - just take an exit into town and follow the signs for Highway 16.

Campground Desciption and details: Welcome to Mountain View Motel & Campground -Buffalo Wyoming lodging at its finest. We are located on the west edge of Buffalo, Wyoming on U.S. Highway 16, just minutes away from the magnificent Bighorn Mountains making us popular Sturgis Rally lodging. We are convenient to most amenities in town - within walking distance of the local grocery store, the town park, the hiking trail along Clear Creek, the largest outdoor swimming pool in Wyoming (which is FREE to the public), the YMCA, the 4-Star Buffalo Golf Course, the Jim Gatchell Museum, and historic downtown Buffalo. We offer very cozy and comfortable Buffalo Wyoming cabins and lodging with modern conveniences, including telephone, extended cable TV, refrigerators, air conditioning, and private bathrooms with showers. Special requests must be made for smoking or pet cabins as we have a limited number of these units. The Mountain View also has a full service campground with 14 hookups (water, electric and sewer) and three tent sites to accommodate RV's and those who prefer to camp. There are modern showers, a small laundry facility and most spaces are nicely shaded. Our facilities are great for reunions, parties and other large groups. Our courtyard provides a comfortable gathering place for groups. Buffalo, Wyoming hosts a weekly rodeo during the summer and there are many fine galleries and unique gift stores in town. Endless hiking, fishing and driving tours of the area are all well worth considering and there are many historical sites to visit. Perfect lodging for vacations in the Black Hills, Yellowstone and Mt. Rushmore.
